Farmers: Environmental Health Check proves a hit!

Jim Paice, Shadow spokesman for Agriculture and Rural Affairs, helps Sue Higgins at the Royal Show pick the winner of the inaugural EHC quarterly draw.  Entrants were made up from those FWAG Clients that completed the EHC feedback questionnaire.  Essex FWAG member, Mr H AJ Butler from near Saffron Walden, was the winner and will receive 10 oak saplings complete with canes, ties and guards for planting in hedgerows on the farm during November.  The prize has been kindly donated by one of our many keen supporters, TreesPlease from Corbridge, Northumberland.

Feedback from farmers undertaking the Environmental Health Check (EHC) highlights the value of the service to their business.  Regardless of scale of operation and whether they are arable, livestock or mixed famers the message is that the comfort provided by the review of cross-compliance and other environmental legislation issues by an experienced FWAG adviser is invaluable.  Environmental Health Check (EHC) service...

What is FWAG?

The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) is the UK's leading independent and dedicated provider of environmental and conservation advice and consultancy to farmers and crofters.  Formed in 1969, FWAG has grown into a network of 120 highly skilled Farm Conservation Advisers located within 55 regional and county groups across the UK.
